COVID-Related Hospitalizations Up Three From Wednesday

Provincial health officials are reporting an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

There are 77 patients in hospital with the virus, which is up by three from Wednesday.

41 individuals were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 while 36 were admitted for other reasons.

The number of individuals requiring an ICU has declined by one to five, while two patients remain on a ventilator.

The province added 1,184 new positive cases through PCR and rapid tests over the last 24 hour period.

408 provincial health care workers tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently isolating.

As for vaccinations, 86.8 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have had both doses of a COVID vaccine, 92.8 per cent have had a first dose and 49.6 per cent have had a third dose.
