Runners Ready To Compete Again

Runners will soon take to the streets again, as events are planned to be held in person.

During the pandemic, they were were held virtually.

Running Room Atlantic Events Coordinator John Acheson says being surrounded by hundreds of people creates an energy, “Crossing the finish line. Nothing better than that. At least there is a bit of a crowd there, especially with a bigger event you’ll get some cheering going on, some excitement and it’s a bit more formal.”

Acheson says the pandemic motivated a lot more people to take up the sport, “The options for physical activity were pretty limited. One of the biggest ones out there was running because you didn’t need a big group to run with. You could be solo and still get your exercise.”

A full list of upcoming events can be found on the Running Room website.
