Freezing Rain And Rain Expected Across NB

Weather alerts have been issued across most of the province, but how you’re affected will depend on where you live.

Areas including Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick, Kent County and the Miramichi area are currently under a freezing rain warning.

Environment Canada says precipitation is expected to begin as snow this afternoon, but then transition over to freezing rain overnight, before changing to rain. Freezing rain conditions are expected to linger into the afternoon in the northeastern part of the province.

This could create treacherous driving and walking conditions.

Other areas including Saint John, Fundy, Grand Manan and Charlotte County are under rainfall warnings.

Up to 40 millimetres of rain combined with snow is expected to fall throughout the day,

Rain will be heavy at times, before it tapers to showers on Sunday morning

A warning that localized flooding is possible in low lying areas.
