Gas Prices Jump To New Record High

Gas prices in New Brunswick have hit new record highs.

The new maximum price for regular self-serve is more than $2.02 per litre.

That is an increase of 10.6 cents after the weekly setting by the Energy and Utilities Board.

Diesel prices fell by nearly a cent to a new maximum price of just over $2.60 per litre.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

Meanwhile, the furnace oil prices have fallen by one cent to just over $2.39 per litre.

The price of propane remains at just over $1.29 per litre, a drop of two-tenths of a cent.
