A big win for a New Brunswick business owner.
Beckie Morrell of Saint John picked up a cheque for s $759,518 after winning the progressive jackpot on MegaJackpots Golden Goddess, an online Casino game offered on alc.ca.
Morrell said she plays as part of her weekend down-time, but she never imagined that she would actually win big.
“I took a screenshot on my cellphone to show my husband and he still didn’t believe me,” Morrell said. “I couldn’t sleep at all the whole night and he went right back to sleep convinced I only won $700.”
Morrell left her job several years ago to follow her passion and open a small printing and craft supply business. She is eager to invest some of her prize money into growing her business.
She and her husband also plan to pay off their mortgage, purchase a new truck, invest for their retirement and pay for their daughters’ educations.
