Interrupter Clause Used To Increase Diesel Prices

An unexpected jump in diesel prices overnight in New Brunswick.

The Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause at midnight.

Diesel is now selling for a maximum of $2.23 per litre, an increase of more than eight cents.

You will find it for a few cents less at most gas stations throughout the region.

Heating oil increased by a similar amount to a new maximum of just under $2.02 per litre.

Gas prices remain unchanged, with regular self-serve selling for a maximum of around $2.11 per litre.
