Air Quality Renewal Approved For Bayside Fish Feed Facility

An air quality approval for the Skretting Canada fish feed facility in Bayside has been renewed.

On Wednesday, the Department of Environment announced a new five-year approval will take effect on July 16.

“The approval follows a public consultation process that included a public review, which ran from Jan. 5 to May 16,” the department said in a news release.

According to the province, the facility produces about 40,000 tonnes of fish feed per year for the aquaculture industry.
