Shooting Death Now Considered Homicide

A man who was shot on the Esgenoôpetitj First Nation earlier this month has died.

RCMP say an autopsy has determined the death was a homicide.

Police say 36-year-old Joshua Ian Robichaud died in hospital on June 12.

He suffered a gunshot wound on June 2 at a home on Algonquin Road.

On June 3, 27-year-old Dylan Dedam, from Esgenoôpetitj First Nation, was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon shortly and he remains in custody.
