Thousands Of Meth Tablets Seized In Edmundston

A 48-year-old man has been charged after a large drug seizure in northwestern New Brunswick.

Edmundston police say they executed a search warrant at a home in the city on June 30.

Officers seized several thousand methamphetamine tablets, cocaine, and contraband cigarettes.

In addition, they seized improperly stored firearms and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Michel Levasseur is charged with two drug-related offences and one firearm-related offence.

Levasseur is scheduled to return to court on Thursday for a bail hearing.
