Diesel Prices Fall Overnight

Diesel prices took an unexpected drop in New Brunswick overnight.

The Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause at midnight.

The new maximum price is just over $2.08 per litre, a drop of nearly 7.5 cents.

Combined with Wednesday night’s drop, diesel prices are now more than 20 cents per litre cheaper than this time last week.

Heating oil prices also fell by more than seven cents overnight to a new maximum of just under $1.84 per litre.

The maximum price for gasoline remains unchanged.
