Heat Warning Continues For 5th Day

A heat warning continues for the fifth day across most inland areas of New Brunswick.

Environment Canada says highs on Monday will range from 28°C to 31°C.

With the humidity, those temperatures will feel more like 36 to 40.

Areas near the coast will provide some relief from the heat thanks to Mother Nature’s natural air conditioning.

The hot and humid weather sparked a number of severe thunderstorms across northern New Brunswick on Sunday night.

Tornado watches and warnings were also issued though there have been no confirmed sightings of any tornadoes.

Forecasters say temperature and humidity conditions should fall below warning criteria on Tuesday.
