Man’s Body Found In River

The Fredericton Police Force (FPF) is investigating the discovery of a body in the Saint John River.

A fisherman found the man’s body near the Westmorland Street Bridge around 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

“Police and Fire were called to the scene and we are working with other jurisdictions to identify him as he was found without ID,” the police force said in a news release.

Fredericton police said they also have no reports of a missing man at this time.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may be able to help identify the man, who is believed to be in his 30s.
