Want to pay less for streaming tv shows and movies? Netflix is providing a cheaper option to Canadians this fall.
Starting Nov. 1, Canadians can subscribe to a lower-tiered service on Netflix.
The $5.99CAD a month offer will feature ads in the movies and shows.
Netflix did say that some movies will have pre-roll ads (like at the movie theatre), while others will have them after the opening title sequence once they’ve been on the platform for an undetermined amount of time.
The new low-tier option won’t affect the other subscription levels according to Netflix executives.
