Emergency crews were called to the scene in the westbound lane around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators believe the man lost control of his motorcycle, which hit a concrete barrier.

The driver and lone occupant was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the identity of the driver will not be released at this time.

The bridge was closed for more than an hour following the crash.
