Santa Claus will return to the Saint John region this weekend for not one but two parades.
The 18th annual Lancaster Santa Claus Parade begins at 1 p.m. Saturday.
As a result, several streets on the west side will be closed from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., including:
- Manawagonish Road between O’Brien Street and Catherwood Street
- Main Street West
- Ready Street
- Catherwood Drive
- Fairville Boulevard to the former Aquarius Tavern parking lot
Later in the day, Jolly Old St. Nicholas will be in the Kennebcasis Valley for the 24th annual KV Santa Claus Parade.
The parade starts at 6 p.m. from Kennebecasis Valley High School (KVHS) and travels along Hampton Road to Clark Road/Marr Road.
All westbound traffic from Route 119 to KVHS will be blocked at 5:45 p.m. From KVHS westbound, traffic will continue.
Eastbound traffic from Campbell Drive (at Canadian Tire) to KVHS will be blocked at major intersections at 5:45 p.m. Westbound traffic will continue.
At 6 p.m., all roadblocks will go up and block all eastbound and westbound traffic until the parade has finished.
