Man Dies In Northern N.B. Crash

Police say a 62-year-old man has died after a tractor-trailer drove off of a cliff in northern New Brunswick.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Route 17 in Saint-Jean-Baptiste around 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

The community is located about 30 kilometres northeast of Saint-Quentin.

RCMP said the driver, who was from Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, died at the scene.

Route 17 was closed for several hours following the crash but has since reopened.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
