Coldest Night Of The Year Set For Saturday

Residents are encouraged to once again walk and raise awareness during the Coldest Night of the Year.

This event supports those experiencing hunger, hurt and homelessness across the country.

Tens of thousands of people take part every year in over 180 communities.

In Saint John, this year’s walk begins and ends at the Market Square Atrium on Saturday.

Participants will walk a two-kilometre or five-kilometre route.

Check-in opens at 4 p.m. with the walk beginning around 5 p.m.

Their goal is to raise $80,000 for Outflow Ministry, which works with people living in poverty.

More details can be found on the Coldest Night of the Year’s website.
