Sizeable drop in N.B. gas prices likely

A meltdown in the global banking sector will have an impact on gas prices this week according to an industry expert.

Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy believes gasoline will fall by more than 5 cents per litre in New Brunswick on Friday.

There is some uncertainty surrounding diesel and furnace oil prices.

The Energy and Utilities Board will adjust prices at midnight.

Current maximums:

  • Regular self-serve $165.8
  • Ultra-low sulphur diesel self-serve $193.6
  • Heating oil $173.1
