Fourth person arrested after stabbing: police

A fourth person has been arrested following an alleged stabbing in uptown Saint John.

In a news release, police said a 20-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for aggravated assault.

Police say officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Princess Street around 12:50 a.m. on March 11.

A 20-year-old man was found lying on the sidewalk and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officers entered a nearby bar and arrested a 19-year-old man for aggravated assault.

Days later, police arrested a 24-year-old man for aggravated assault and a 20-year-old man for attempted murder.

Investigators say no further arrests are anticipated at this time.
