Majority of Canadians in favor of private healthcare: poll

The majority of Canadians are in favour of private health care, according to a new poll by MEI-Ipsos with over 1,100 Canadians surveyed, over the age of 18.

52% of Canadians want more access to health care provided by independent entrepreneurs, with almost 70% saying they think private health care is faster.

Less than half of Canadians are satisfied with their provincial healthcare, for the first time since 2020, with only 25 per cent happy in Atlantic Canada.

The survey says, 2/3 of Canadians believe private entrepreneurs can provide faster care than government-run hospitals.

Quebec, Ontario and Saskatchewan all have independent projects in the works.
