Voter information cards mailed for upcoming N.B. byelections

Voters in the provincial ridings of Bathurst East-Nepisiguit-Saint-Isidore, Dieppe and Restigouche-Chaleur will receive voter information cards in the mail this week.

They’ll advise them of the options available for the April 24 byelections.

Each household will receive an envelope from Elections NB with details including where to cast a ballot.

“In order to ensure the fastest service possible, we encourage people to bring their voter information cards with them,” said Chief Electoral Officer Kimberly Poffenroth. “Each card contains a barcode, unique to that voter, which allows our workers to quickly look them up on the voters list and send them on their way with a ballot.”

Eligible voters who do not receive a card, or who do not bring it to the polling station, will be directed to a special team at each polling station which will ensure the individual is on the voters list or will add the person to the list if necessary.

More information can also be found online by visiting the Elections NB website.
