Saint John residential fire deemed suspicious

The Saint John Police Major Crime Unit, Forensic Services and the Saint John Fire Department are investigating a residential fire in the city as suspicious in nature.

Shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday, emergency crews were called to a fire at a home in the 3000 block of Westfield Road.

Upon arrival, crews found the home engulfed in flames which resulted in a total loss.

No injuries were reported.

Police have released surveillance photos depicting a suspicious person on the property during the early morning hours of May 10 and May 11.
