Reported stabbing leaves man in critical condition

A man is in critical condition in hospital after a reported stabbing in Saint John’s north end, according to police.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Sandy Point Road and Jack Street around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday.

“Officers arrived on scene and located a 34-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries,” police said in a news release on Thursday.

No arrests have been made and investigators believe this was an isolated incident, according to police.

“The Saint John Police would like to thank those who provided aid to the injured man before emergency crews arrived at scene,” said the release.
