Saint John police say they have made three arrests in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Officers arrested two women and a man in a vehicle in the city’s north end around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said they seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine and crystal meth valued during the arrests and search of the vehicle.

The drugs have an estimated street value of between $25,000 and $30,000, according to police.

Officers also seized a .357 replica pellet gun, about $840 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

A 39-year-old woman was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession of property obtained by crime, and driving while suspended.

She appeared in court on Wednesday and was remanded to jail until a bail hearing on Thursday.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for possession of fentanyl. He was released from custody with a September court date.

The third person, a 22-year-old woman, was released from custody without charges.
