Threads reaches over 100 million sign ups in a matter of days

Twitter’s big rival has now surpassed 100 million sign ups since it launched, just a matter of days ago.

Threads is owned by Meta, which also owns Facebook and Instagram and since it launched Wednesday it has been reportedly setting records for growth since.

It reached the 100 million user milestone, quicker than Chat GPT, which reportedly did it just two months.

Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerburg says, the aim of the new platform, is to create an open and friendly space for conversation, taking the best parts of Instagram and creating a new experience for text, ideas and discussions.

To sign up to the new social media platform, you go to the App store on your iPhone and link it with your Instagram.
