2 men arrested after Charlotte County incident

Police found more than they expected after responding to a weapons call in Charlotte County.

RCMP were called to a home on Route 725 in Little Ridge, near St. Stephen, around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

They had received a report about two men holding loaded firearms at the door of the home.

“Officers responded quickly and were able to arrest the two individuals without incident,” police said in a news release on Friday.

Police said they seized two loaded firearms along with a stolen vehicle with several stolen items inside.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with three firearms-related offences along with failing to comply with a probation order.

The man was remanded into custody following a court appearance on Friday and is due back in court on Monday.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man was released and will appear in court at a later date to face charges.
