Hampton break-in and theft leads to arrest

One person has been arrested after a break-in and theft in Hampton earlier in July.

RCMP said they were called to a commercial compound on Main Street on the evening of July 19.

“An individual broke into the compound by cutting a lock off of the gate, and stole a number of items including a ‘Town of Hampton’ pickup truck,” police said in a news release on Monday.

Last Thursday, officers arrested a 47-year-old man from Nauwigewauk in connection with the investigation.

He was later released from custody and is due to appear in court on Oct. 11.

Police said all of the stolen items have since been recovered.
