Man dies in side-by-side crash in northwestern N.B.

A man has died after the side-by-side he was driving left the road in northwestern New Brunswick.

Emergency crews were called to the local service district of Drummond, near Grand Falls, on Saturday evening.

“The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the side-by-side lost control of the vehicle, and left the roadway,” police said in a news release on Monday.

Mounties said a 36-year-old man from the community died at the scene from his injuries.

The only other person on the side-by-side did not suffer any physical injuries, said police.

Investigators are still piecing together the cause of the crash.
