Little change expected in N.B. fuel prices

Do not expect any significant changes at the fuel pumps in New Brunswick this week.

An industry source tells us gasoline prices will remain essentially unchanged on Thursday night.

The price for diesel is expected to rise by around 1.5 cents per litre, according to the source.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.87 per litre for regular self-serve and $2.05 per litre for diesel.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.84 to $1.88 per litre while diesel is selling for between $2.01 and $2.05 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.86 per litre while diesel costs around $2.04 per litre.
