A watermain break has reduced Somerset Street to one lane.
The City says all northbound traffic heading towards Millidgeville will be detoured onto Rope Walk Road to Millidge Avenue during construction.
Barriers and signs are in place.
Crews are making repairs, but work is expected to take around three days.
