N.B. man among 7 injured in Cape Breton crash

A New Brunswick man was among seven people injured following a Christmas Eve crash in Cape Breton.

RCMP said a car and a van collided on Highway 104 near Whiteside shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.

The 28-year-old New Brunswick man driving the car suffered life-threatening injuries. A dog was also found dead in his car.

Police said a 42-year-old woman driving the van received life-threatening injuries in the crash.

A 36-year-old man and four children between the ages of three and nine suffered injuries ranging from serious to life-threatening. All six people in the van are from Halifax.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
