Man killed in northwestern N.B. crash

A Boxing Day crash in northwestern New Brunswick has left a 26-year-old Fredericton man dead.

The single-vehicle crash happened along Route 2 in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

A passenger in the vehicle died at the scene from his injuries, according to an RCMP news release on Wednesday.

The driver and a second passenger were rushed to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still piecing together the cause of the crash.
