Saint John police seize $161K worth of drugs

Saint John police have made three arrests in a weeks-long drug trafficking investigation.

Two women — aged 37 and 44 — and a 52-year-old man were arrested at a Sandy Point Road home on Thursday.

All three face more than 40 drug trafficking, firearm and weapon-related charges, according to police.

Investigators said they seized drugs with an approximate total street value of more than $161,000.

  • 288 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 251.52 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 695.93 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 2.63 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • 14 suspected hydromorphone pills
  • 400 suspected hydromorphone (Shady 8) pills

Officers also found more than $8,100 in Canadian currency, a .22 calibre handgun, a .22 calibre rifle, digital scales and cell phones.

All three accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
