Snow clearing under review after death at Irving Shipyard

Snow clearing at the Irving Shipyard in Halifax is under review after a 43-year-old man died on the job.

The Department of Labour has issued a stop work order and is reviewing their snow removal processes at the shipyard and the equipment involved.

The man died just before noon on Monday after being hit by equipment.

Labour officials are investigating the death along with Halifax police.

Irving has stated they are working with everyone involved and offering support for their staff and family members.
