Early morning apartment fire in Saint John

No injuries after an early morning apartment fire in Saint John’s south central peninsula.

Saint John police say the blaze was reported in the 200 block of Waterloo Street.

The street was closed between Brunswick Drive and Golding Street for a time.

According to fire officials, the blaze was quickly contained by responding crews.

Fire crews began clearing the scene shortly after 7 a.m. and the road reopened by 8 a.m.
