Alleged stabbing in uptown Saint John

A man suffered serious injuries after an alleged stabbing in uptown Saint John.

Police were called to the area of Union and Waterloo streets around 3:15 p.m. Monday.

“Officers arrived on scene and located a 43-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries,” police said in a news release on Tuesday.

The man was taken to the Saint John Regional Hospital but has since been released.

No arrests have been made and detectives believe this was an isolated incident.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has dashcam or video surveillance of the incident.
