Fire damages home in Quispamsis

A home in Quispamsis has been extensively damaged by fire.

A neighbour on Sleepy Hollow Lane reported the fire just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department was on the scene within two minutes, but the fire could already be seen on an outside wall and through the roof.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Several other departments assisted, including Nauwigewauk, Hampton, Peninsula, Long Reach, and Simonds.

The Saint John Fire Department also helped with tanker trucks for water.

There’s no word on a cause yet.
