Impaired driving charges laid following hit and run

A 24-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges following an alleged hit and run in Saint John.

On Wednesday evening, police received reports of a vehicle all over the road near Loch Lomond Road and McAllister Drive.

The vehicle was followed to Highway 1 and was eventually pulled over by a member of the Saint John Police after it hit another car.

The driver is also charged with failing to remain at the collision scene.

He’s scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The operator of the struck vehicle is encouraged to come forward and report any damages that may have been sustained.
