N.B. government, CUPE Local 1418 reach agreement

A tentative collective agreement has been reached between the New Brunswick government and the union representing social workers and other professions.

CUPE Local 1418 represents social workers, child protection, probation and parole officers, clinical psychologists, and human resource development officers.

Both parties agreed with the help of recommendations from a conciliation board, according to a government news release on Saturday.

The parties will also withhold any details of the agreement pending its ratification.
