Provincewide burn ban continues in N.B.

A provincewide burn ban remains in effect for New Brunswick.

It was first issued Wednesday amid the first heat wave of the year.

The Department of Natural Resources said no burning will be allowed until at least 2 p.m. Friday.

Individual municipalities have their own restrictions, so you should check with your local municipal office.

As of early Thursday afternoon, the fire danger was listed as high or very high across much of the province, with some areas in the extreme category.
