N.B. resident among 3 killed in Alberta crash

A New Brunswick resident is among three people dead after a crash in northern Alberta, according to police.

RCMP said they were called to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 33 in Big Lakes County on Saturday afternoon.

The three people in the first vehicle died at the scene, including a 65-year-old from New Brunswick.

Also in that vehicle were a 61-year-old from Whitehead County, Alta., and a 59-year-old from Whitecourt, Alta.

Police said the driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators believe the first vehicle crossed over the centre line and collided with the second vehicle.
