Police ID body found along Saint John riverbank

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Saint John.

Human remains were located along the Saint John River near Reversing Falls on Tuesday afternoon.

In an update on Thursday, investigators identified the man as 47-year-old James “Jimmy” Mailman.

Police said their Major Crime Unit is working with Coroner Services to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

When announcing his death on Wednesday, investigators noted that Mailman had not been reported missing.
