Costco membership fees about to go up

It will soon cost you a bit more to shop at Costco.

For the first time in seven years, membership fees are going up.

The retail giant announced Wednesday, the hike will go up $5 to $65 if you have an individual, business or business-add on membership.

If you are an executive member, there will be a $10 increase to $130 a year, but there will also be an increase to annual rewards from $1,000 to $1,250.

Costco estimates that roughly 52 million will be affected, more than half are executive members.

The changes go into effect September 1, 2024.
