Partial closure of Water Street in Saint John

A section of Water Street in uptown Saint John will be closed for part of the New Brunswick Day long weekend.

The closure between King Street and Prince William Street will last from noon Friday until 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Officials said the closure is necessary to allow for food trucks, pedestrian foot traffic and special events as part of the Area 506 music festival, Bricklin International 50th Anniversary, and International Culture Fest.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place, according to city officials.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
