UPDATE: Quispamsis beach reopens, 2nd still closed

Good news for those looking to take a dip in the water at a popular Quispamsis beach.

Meenan’s Cove Beach has reopened for swimming, the town announced Tuesday on social media.

The beach had been closed to swimming for nearly a week due to high levels of E. coli.

Meanwhile, Ritchie Lake Beach remains closed to swimming for the same reason.

That closure was first announced by the town on July 17.
