Ganong secures license for Sixties Candies brand

Canada’s oldest chocolate and candy company is revitalizing a sweet favourite that has been around for more than half a century.

St. Stephen-based Ganong announced it has acquired the Sixlets Candies licence and the Color It Candy brand.

“Sixlets has been a sweet favourite for more than half a century and evokes instant nostalgia for many,” Bryana Ganong, CEO of Ganong, said in a news release.

“This relaunch is about rekindling the joy and excitement that Sixlets brings to every occasion.”

Sixlets are small, round candy-coated chocolates known for their unique flavour and vibrant colours.

The candy will be shipped to U.S. retailers in October with plans to enter the Canadian market in early 2025.
