Cannabis products seized from Saint John dispensary

New Brunswick peace officers have seized cannabis products from an unlicensed dispensary in Saint John’s north end.

The Department of Justice and Public Safety said officers searched the unnamed business on Taylor Avenue on July 24.

Items seized by the officers included:

  • 875 grams of cannabis bud
  • 480 grams of hashish
  • 100 packs of cannabis edibles
  • 200 cannabis cigarettes
  • 20 packages of cannabis shatter
  • 50 cannabis vape pens

This marks the first time Justice and Public Safety officers used their new authority under the Cannabis Control Act.

Inspectors can enter any place or vehicle to which the act applies and seize any cannabis, document or item they believe may be evidence.

No charges have been laid, according to the department.
