RCMP arrest 2 suspects in St. Stephen break-ins

RCMP have arrested two suspects following a series of break-ins and thefts in St. Stephen.

On July 23, at around 4:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a break-in and theft at a business on Milltown Boulevard.

Investigators say the individuals broke a door to the building and stole a large amount of cigarettes.

At around 2 p.m. the same day, officers believed the same suspects made off with clothing from another store in the area.

Police also allege that one of the individuals was also involved in a theft that took place in St. Stephen on July 19.

A 43-year-old St. Stephen man was arrested at a home in the community on July 25. A 29-year-old man from Little Ridge was arrested at his home on July 27.

Both were released on conditions and will appear in Saint John Provincial Court at a later date.
