Police continue to investigate Quispamsis attack

Police are continuing to investigate after a woman was assaulted at a Quispamsis park a month ago.

The incident happened near the parking lot of Matthew’s Cove Park at around 7 p.m. on July 11.

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force issued a news release on Friday, one day after the incident was reported to officers.

In an update on Tuesday, police assured residents that the safety and well-being of the community remains their top priority.

“Our dedicated officers are working diligently to ensure that justice is served,” police said in a social media post.

“While we cannot disclose specific details about the ongoing investigation, we want to emphasize that every necessary measure is being taken to address this situation.”

Police said their investigation so far leads them to believe that this was an isolated incident.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to police by calling 506-847-6300.
