Police investigate after dog fatally struck by vehicle

Saint John police are investigating after a dog was struck and killed by a vehicle in the city’s north end.

The incident happened on Thursday in the area of Cranston Avenue and Second Street.

A police spokesperson told our newsroom they are currently following leads to locate the driver of the vehicle.

“Anyone with video in the area that shows the incident is encouraged to contact police and provide it,” Acting Staff Sgt. Matt Weir wrote in an email.

“Anyone in the area who has witnessed the incident or has information in relation to the incident is also encouraged to contact us.”
